Arif Budiman Malay Language Teacher Award 2021

Five Malay Language teachers were recognised at the 2021 Arif Budiman Malay Language Teacher Award for their outstanding contributions to Malay Language teaching and learning.

Five Malay Language teachers were recognised with the Arif Budiman Malay Language Teacher Award (AGAB) 2021 for their outstanding contributions to Malay Language teaching and learning.

Mr S Iswaran, Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, presented the awards at a hybrid ceremony on 6 November 2021. Each recipient received a trophy, certificate of achievement and a fully sponsored professional development programme.

Jointly organised by the Malay Language Council Singapore, Malay Language Teachers Association, Berita Harian and MLLPC, AGAB had recognised 64 Malay Language teachers since its inception in 2007. In 2021, 204 nominations were received for 139 teachers, with recipients selected by a panel comprising community leaders, academics, school leaders and media representatives.
