Launch of e-Fiesta Bahasa 2021 and Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee's 15th Anniversary Celebration

e-Fiesta Bahasa 2021 brought Malay Language learning online for the first time, featuring interactive games, virtual tours and digital activities for students, teachers and parents.
From 10 July to 31 August 2021, the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) organised Fiesta Bahasa virtually for the first time. Held biennially since 2015, the event aims to encourage the use of Malay beyond the classroom and inspire students to enjoy learning the language.
Themed Kembara Maya, Teroka Bahasa (Language Discovery through Virtual Exploration), e-Fiesta Bahasa 2021 featured interactive activities for students, teachers and parents, including game-based learning booths, pre-recorded sharing sessions, virtual tours of the Singapore River and Kampong Glam, and a 3D Escape Room featuring language games.
At the launch, Second Minister for Education and Chairperson of MLLPC, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, unveiled MLLPC’s 15th anniversary commemorative logo. The anniversary celebrations had been postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation, with MLLPC continuing its work with community partners and educational institutions to promote the learning and everyday use of Malay.
