Launch of Second Song Collection Under Project 'Orang Singapura – Bersatu!' to Promote Singapore's Cultural Heritage

The Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) launched the second song collection under Project Orang Singapura – Bersatu! on 28 September 2024 at Wisma Geylang Serai, with Guest-of-Honour Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, Second Minister for Education, delivering a speech at the event.

Commissioned by MLLPC, the project features 10 songs by late local composer Zubir Said, rearranged by local music producer Reyza Hamizan and performed by local artistes. The collection aims to promote greater appreciation of Singapore’s cultural heritage while encouraging interest in the Malay language.

Building on the previous year’s Orang Singapura project, the latest collection was distributed to schools and Institutes of Higher Learning and made available to the wider community through Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
