St. Joseph's Institution Junior and Yusof Ishak Secondary School took top honours at Katapella 2026, Singapore's national Malay choral recitation competition, co-organised by MLLPC and Mediacorp.

St. Joseph's Institution Junior and Yusof Ishak Secondary School were crowned champions of Katapella 2026, Singapore's national Malay choral recitation competition, in the primary and secondary school categories respectively. Co-organised by MLLPC and Mediacorp, the competition brought together 50 primary and secondary schools, with 12 finalists showcasing their linguistic talents and creative expression in the Malay language. The finals aired on Mediacorp Suria and MeWatch in August 2026.
