More than 190 primary and secondary school students advanced to the Katapella 2025 finals, showcasing their linguistic talents and creative expression through Malay choral recitation.

Organised by the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee in partnership with Mediacorp, Katapella aims to deepen students’ appreciation of the Malay language and culture beyond the classroom.

The finals were broadcast on Mediacorp’s Suria and MeWatch in two hour-long episodes, with the primary school category airing on 15 August 2025 and the secondary school category on 22 August 2025.
