MLLPC Launches Second 'Orang Singapura – Bersatu!' Song Collection
The Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee launched the second collection of songs under Project 'Orang Singapura – Bersatu!' on 28 September 2024 at Wisma Geylang Serai, with Second Minister for Education Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman as Guest-of-Honour.
This project celebrates Singapore's cultural heritage through 10 songs by the late Zubir Said, composer of Singapore's national anthem. The collection features fresh arrangements by local producer Reyza Hamizan and performances by talented local artistes including Ainul Yaqin, Suryana Norddin, and Syahriszuan.
Building on last year's successful 'Orang Singapura' project, this second collection will be distributed to all schools and Institutes of Higher Learning to promote Malay language learning and appreciation of Singapore's musical heritage.
