Cultural Performance Exposure Fund (CPEF)
The CPEF enriches students' learning and love for Malay Language by funding attendance at local Malay cultural performances. Since 2017, this fund has supported immersive arts experiences while promoting Malay performing arts in Singapore.
Eligibility & Key Requirements
Open to mainstream schools and post-secondary institutions offering Malay Language programmes
Performances must be in Malay language and conducted locally
Ticket prices capped at $50 (primary/secondary) or $70 (post-secondary/tertiary)
Funding: Up to $2,500 per school annually, or $3,500 for schools with Malay Language Special Programmes
How It Works
Schools receive funding allocation to purchase tickets for pre-approved performances. Performance organisers can apply to have their shows included in the approved list.

What performances qualify for CPEF?

All mainstream primary and secondary schools, post-secondary education institutions (PSEIs) and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) that offer Malay Language programmes.
How much funding is available?
Up to $2,500 per school annually. Schools offering Malay Language Special Programme or Literature in Malay Language receive up to $3,500 annually.
Can organisers get funding for performance production?
Yes, organisers may apply for MLLPC's Supported Programme Funding through the online application system, subject to committee approval and funding guidelines.
When should performances be scheduled?
Best during school terms - Term 1 and 2 for mainstream schools and junior colleges. Avoid weekends and night shows for primary students. Check MOE's website or institutional academic calendars for optimal timing.
