Katapella 2025

More than 190 primary and secondary students advanced to the finals of Katapella 2025, Singapore’s first national-level Malay choral recitation competition, where students showcased their linguistic talents and creative expressions in the Malay language.
Organised by the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee in partnership with Mediacorp, Katapella aims to foster in students a deeper appreciation for the Malay language and culture beyond school. The competition finals will be broadcast on Mediacorp’s Suria and MeWATCH over two hour-long episodes. The primary school category will air on 15 August 2025 at 8.30pm, and the secondary school category on 22 August 2025 at 8.30pm.
