New story writing competition for students to draw inspiration from late composer Zubir Said’s songs

Second Minister for Education and Chairperson of the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) Dr Maliki Osman will launch a short story writing competition for students to create short stories inspired by the works of late local composer Zubir Said on Saturday, 15 February at Woodlands Regional Library.
At the event, two children’s novels, ‘Bukan Mimpi’ and ‘Kecoh Di Lereng Bukit’, authored by local writers Amanah Mustafi and Nur-El-Hudaa Jaffar respectively, will be launched, and a second grant call for proposals for writers to develop and publish new works will also be announced.
