Programme Objectives
Under the theme "Gastronomi Melayu: Herba dan Rempah-Ratus" (Malay Gastronomy: Herbs and Spices), Kem Perkasa Warisan 2019 @ Nee Soon was held at Fort Canning Park, where students embarked on an educational trail before proceeding to Nee Soon East Community Centre to create their own kerabu dishes. Beyond culinary skills, participants discovered the importance of healthy living through traditional Malay herbs and spices whilst developing their communication abilities.
About the Programme
This one-day camp was designed to enhance appreciation for Malay language and culture through interactive and engaging approaches within community spaces. The programme successfully combined hands-on learning with cultural education, allowing students to connect with their heritage through the rich tradition of Malay gastronomy and traditional wellness practices.
